Petar Georgiev and his family live in a small village in the Northeast of Bulgaria. He lives with his wife, son, and mother. Their main source of income comes from selling milk and feta cheese from their family cow. <\/p>\n
My wife and I decided to help Petar after meeting him during a trip to Bulgaria. He is a humble and modest person and we could clearly see that he needed some help to support his family. After spending some time with Petar, we saw that his family is very resourceful…growing almost everything they eat from their own land and animals. Even his family’s clothes were homemade.<\/p>\n
However, even though it’s great that they are so resourceful, they still need money for other food, medicine, and necessities.<\/p>\n
Petar has gone through some hard times. He is only in his early 30’s, but he has lost his father, sister, brother, and most recently, his first child. <\/p>\n
